Weaknesses: Shy. Socially inept. Prone to fainting during times of stress. Low self-esteem. Thrift-store fashion sense. Moderately nearsighted.

Powers: Can access Narrows only in his dream-form. This has the distinct advantage of, if he is killed therein, he may return after a one-week recovery period. For two weeks after this, he will be flickery and intangible (resolidifying gradually), wracked with the pain of his death as he recovers his energy. If his body is ever killed while he is dreaming his dream-self will be trapped in Narrows, as mortal as his waking form was. He remembers very little of what he dreams, unless he immediately writes it down. He is not in the habit, at the moment, of keeping any sort of dream-journal.

Short Bio: Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Randolph Carter has lived a mostly uneventful life, untouched by the rumoured horrors of his native region. Even his years at at Miskatonic University, despite the reputation of the place, were unremarkable. An aspiring author, he's been traveling since his graduation, trying to find a place that will give him the inspiration he desperately seeks. Having failed to find such a place in the states, he's set his sights... ah, higher, and is currently in Toronto on a skilled worker visa. He is employed at a small movie theatre, and frequents the Toronto Writer's Centre in his attempts to create something, anything, that justifies his BA in English and the accompanying ~$100k (American) college debt. He's had about as much success here, though, as he's had anywhere else in his five years since graduation. That he can't even seem to stay awake long enough to write, lately, doesn't help. And neither do those strange dreams he can never remember...
